Child safety

Last updated: August 24, 2026. These commitments apply to proofplaces.com and to the Proof app from its launch. The French version prevails.

1. Minimum age: 15

Proof is not available to anyone under 15. Age is declared at sign-up and the registration gate refuses any date of birth under that threshold. An account created with a false age declaration is deleted on detection, without notice.

2. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material

Publishing, sharing or exchanging child sexual exploitation or abuse content is prohibited on Proof, including in private messages. Any such content is removed without delay, the account is deleted without notice, and a report is sent to the competent authorities with the elements allowing the identification of its author.

3. Reporting within thumb's reach

Every shot, profile and message can be reported from the app. Reports involving minors are handled with absolute priority. You can also write to support@proofplaces.com.

4. Cooperation with authorities

We answer judicial requests and report to the competent authorities any content or behaviour endangering a minor, in accordance with French law and the EU Digital Services Act. In France, reports can also be sent directly to the public platform Pharos (internet-signalement.gouv.fr) and, for young victims, to 3018.

5. Minors' personal data

Under 15, French law requires joint consent of the minor and a parental authority holder: Proof does not accept sign-ups under 15 and therefore has no business processing that data. Between 15 and 18, information is written to be understood without jargon. Accounts under 18 are excluded from any advertising based on profiling, as required by article 28.2 of the European Digital Services Act: no data concerning them, including the places they visit, feeds ad targeting, and that exclusion depends on no setting. Attendance figures shown on a place page are aggregated and identify nobody.
